.: London Fashion Week Ready to Wear Autumn Winter 2013-14

The spotlight was on London last week, as it had five days, February 15th through the 19th to showcase new and well known designers. London hasn't always been on the map as a fashion capital, and past fashion weeks held there have left some greatly disappointed, and yearning for weekend to be over, so they can fly to Milan to see some real beauties. So did London Fashion week excite? In all honesty, the answer was no. There were some bleak collections, a few over-the-top-is-this-even-fashion show, horrible fur pieces (usually), and ugly models with bad teeth and awkward stomps down the catwalk. Antonio Berardi was wonderful though. Burberry Prorsum finally got shaken up, and debuted something other than ALL trench coats. There were interesting prints, much along the lines of Alexander McQueen inspired, Versace-ish shaping, and posh pops of sorbet colors. Maybe next season, even next year it will not leave me with a bad taste in my mouth.
